1. Make sure whenever you curl your hair extensions you are very, very gentle with them. Unlike the hair on your head, hair extensions cannot grow back.
2. Before curling the hair, to get a perfect curl everytime, run a hair straightener through the hair so you get out any excess waves that do not need to be in the hair.
3. Always be sure not to have the curling iron too hot on the ethnic hair. Ethnic hair has traces of either synthetic, or other types of animal hair to get that ethnic texture. So do not set the heat up too high, to be sure, put the curler on medium heat setting.
4. To help keep the curl the in the hair extensions, you can spray just alittle bit of hair spray onto the hair AFTER you have curled it. Not before, if you do the hair will stick to the curling iron.
Alot of people did not know there are two types of hair extensions. There are the ones for caucasian hair texture, and there are the ones of ethnic hair textures. As you know the two are totally different, and the ethnic hair extenions are alot harder to curl, and there is a certain technique to doing so.
I hope that this tutorial really helps people out there that have two types of hair extensions, and really need help learning how to properly straighten them.
I have both textures of hair extenions, I have ethnic & caucasian hair types because I am mixed with many different types of races so my hair is very different.
